I'm not going to lie to you -- this has been a hell of a year.
If you are a woman, woman-identified or nonbinary academic or teacher who has been working your butt off to keep your students and classes on track while transitioning to online learning and dealing with the implications of the pandemic, as all my writing clients have done, then I have 2 things to say to you:
#1. JOB WELL DONE
It doesn't matter how slack you felt, how tired you were, how overwhelmed you got, or if you're dragging yourself across the finish line to get grades in.
You have done an awesome job just by showing up.
#2. YOU CAN GO TO CAMP
If you had travel plans for the summer, maybe they need to be postponed, but you can still travel with me to Book Camp. If you have kids, maybe they can't go to camp this summer, but you can.
Book Camp is month-long online program to help diverse women, women-identified and nonbinary people in the teaching profession empower themselves to do their important writing that serves the world.
Are you someone who fits this description?
Do you want help in managing your writing schedule?
Would you like to be part a kind and creative community?
Is it time for you to get the support you crave for your writing?
If so, then Book Camp is for you.
Over the course of 4 weeks in June, you will get the support, inspiration, discipline, and momentum you need.
Individual Coaching I will meet with you individually for an hour during the first week of Book Camp between June 1-5 at a time that’s convenient for you - so we can create a game plan for your writing. I will help you focus on the structure, theme, and purpose of your project so you can be clear about how to move forward.
Collective Writing Sessions Each week on Monday, June 8, 15, and 22, from 11-12 ET, we will meet as a group to write together. We will start with a brief centering meditation and then dive in. If you’ve never written with a group before, you’ll be amazed at how the supportive presence of people from around the world will motivate you.
Group Class On Monday, June 15 from 12-1 ET, we will meet together for a group class that will target the “mid-phase” slump that often comes during a writing project. I will teach you concrete ways to break through the fog and reenergize yourself to keep going to the finish line.
You get one month of live writing coaching (not pre-recorded videos, not DIY programs, not mass marketed and anonymous packages) for $400.
I am also offering a "friend discount." When you and a friend are both accepted into Book Camp, I will give you each $50 off.
Plus, I am adding a bonus to this program:
One month of 24/7 ongoing email support for you.
What this means is that you can email me with questions, requests for advice, check-ins for accountability—anything! – anytime during the month of June.
Honestly, no other writing coaching program offers this kind of one-on-one personal access to an academic writing coach with decades of experience.
Yup. I am limiting this program to a very small group of committed individuals.
We don’t play. We are here to change the world.
This program is not for you if you’re not willing to show up, learn new ways of thinking about the writing process, be accountable to your goals, and sit still during the hard parts that make you want to run away.
So the application process ensures that the group is filled with people like you who embrace difference and are here to werrrk.
