Last week, we did a journaling exercise that introduced us to the idea that we must first hear and accept what our minds are saying in order to get clear about the deeper wisdom underneath the repetitive thoughts.
(You may want to go back and do that exercise if you haven’t yet.)
This week, we will do the same exercise with our feelings.
Feelings can be repetitive and mindless, keeping us dis-connected from our deeper heart’s wisdom.
This is especially true when we ignore our feelings.
Finish the following statements in your journal:
My heart feels…
My heart wants…
Now, take a moment, close your eyes, and breathe into your belly.
Then finish this statement in your journal:
My wise heart says…
What deeper wisdom did you learn? I’d love to know!
